What We Do and Why

We seek to understand the problems of our world and then attempt to use strategies and techniques recognized by NGO’s and governments as "best practices" to develop implementable solutions.  We understand that we live in a complex and interconnected world, and that in these complex times, potential solutions to problems must be studied in depth and then implemented with perseverance. 

Education is the key to success.  U.N. studies affirm that education accomplishes everything from lowering teenage pregnancy and extending life expectancy, to increasing crop yields.  Although currently focused in the Sahel, HtW is committed across Africa and the world to getting young men and women into schools, building new schools, and providing
materials where unavailable or insufficient.
