Natalie – Teacher – Burkina Faso ELI

I am a recent graduate from Texas A&M University. While in college, I was a part of several trips to teach English with a Christian organization in the North Africa Middle East area. Shortly after those trips, I felt God calling me to make a difference in the world. I switched my major from engineering to a concentration in Leadership Studies. Weeks before graduation, my plan was to get a job for a few years, pay off my student loans and then go overseas to serve where the Lord led. Instead, His plan was for me to leave for West Africa six weeks after graduation without ever meeting anyone from Heal the World to work at the ELI!

I have a passion for following the Lord even when it does not make sense or others do not understand. I am a homebody with an adventurous streak who has learned that home is in the Lord's will. Following the Lord wherever He leads is not a sacrifice, but the gift of being allowed to be part of His cosmic plan to redeem His people out of darkness and bring healing to those who hurt.
