By the end of 2006, I was spending more and more of my free time working with the homeless late at night on the streets of various parts of Los Angeles County.  These people were from a variety of backgrounds including alcoholics, drug addicts, or families in financial crisis.  I saw that some people were not only physically impoverished, but also spiritually impoverished, lacking any real hope.  I believe that true Christianity is doing "both this AND that", about offering physical aid as well as spiritual and emotional aid, about always trying to live life with a "selfless faith" that seeks to do the most good for the largest number of people with the longer term perspective in mind.  I'm happy to be able to partner with Heal The World in working towards that.
